Guitar Hero on Tour Vehicle Advertising Campaign


 

Motamedia announces the launch of a vehicle advertising campaign for Activision’s new game Guitar Hero on Tour.

 

The campaign, which uses a nationwide fleet of trucks fully wrapped in 3D advertisements for Guitar Hero on Tour, has been designed as an integral part of the high-profile UK launch of the game.

 

Activision is an international market leader in all areas of the fast growing entertainment software industry, publishing interactive games, both online and console-based. Guitar Hero on Tour is played on the Nintendo DS, a hand-held, portable console, and is based on the successful Guitar Hero games.

 

The advertisements, displayed on both the sides and rears of Motamedia vehicles, use graphics from the game to create a 3D effect around the vehicle. The effective is dramatic due to the scale of the advertisement and the colourful use of design whilst the copy announces the product launch on Nintendo DS.

 

The campaign utilises two vehicle types, 30 foot and 40 trailers, in order to provide a mixture of urban and motorway coverage. Motamedia’s research has shown that these ‘moving billboards’ are effective platforms for increasing brand awareness, capable of reaching a wide audience in areas largely uncluttered with other forms of advertising. The production services were provided by Motamedia’s vehicle branding sister company, Mediafleet.
